Job summary

Napa Post Acute in Barberton, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift coverage. Positions offer 8- or 12-hour shifts with a $2.00 shift differential and competitive pay.

The role emphasizes high-quality care consistent with physician orders and facility policies, aimed at residents’ comfort and safety. The Treatment Nurse will ensure care plans are carried out, communicate with families, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Maintain a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with residents and their family about Plans of Care, PT, OT and other treatment protocols.
• Provide resident care including carrying out physician’s orders for care, including providing medication and treatment.
• Perform treatments in a manner that protects the dignity and self-respect of the resident.
• Accurately observe and assess wounds and notify physicians of progress or deterioration.
• Ensure appropriate wound care management services are included in the plan to promote healing.
• Assist in preparing and updating care plans for treatment-related issues.
• Assist physicians and other health professionals during visits and examinations.
• Communicate with physicians and other health professionals regarding resident care, treatment and condition.
• Notify family and attending physicians of significant treatment-related issues.
• Participate in the orientation and on-going training of nursing staff.
• Report significant findings or changes in condition to RN Supervisor and/or DON.
