Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Evaluates staff performance and provides feedback and coaching.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients, families, and hospital departments.
• Monitors patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization.
• Conducts rounding to evaluate care delivery and satisfaction.
• Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Ensures supplies are available and used cost‑effectively.
• Provides ongoing education and professional development for nursing staff.
• Leads infection prevention audits and staff education.
• Responds to emergencies within the unit and provides leadership as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
