Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an RN for the Mother Baby/L&D unit on a 13-week contract. The role involves night shifts, 12-hour blocks, caring for postpartum/newborn patients on a 26-bed unit. Candidates must have RN licensure, 1 year of experience, and BLS/NRP certifications.

Expect limited float to related wards and weekend work as scheduled. Responsibilities include discharge education, pain management, recognizing risk factors, and ensuring patient care by acuity.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• RN license in good standing.
• Ability to recognize unit workflow, policies, and procedures in the postpartum unit.
• Ability to assess and identify risk factors related to sepsis, VTE/DVT, suicide, malignant hyperthermia, and pressure injury.
• Ability to provide discharge education and assessment, manage pain, and prioritize patient care needs by acuity.
• Experience in post-partum, LDRP, well baby nursery, recovery, and assisting during births.

Responsibilities

• Provide discharge education and assessment, manage pain, and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity.
• Assess and identify risk factors related to sepsis, VTE/DVT, suicide, malignant hyperthermia, and pressure injury.
• Support nursing care on the Post Partum/Mom Baby unit; provide birth assistance as needed.
