Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum team at Southdale Hospital. You will support mothers, newborns, and families through labor, delivery, recovery, and early bonding in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

This 60 hours per two weeks night shift (12-hour shifts, 7pm–7:30am) with every third weekend requires MN RN license, BLS, and NRP, with 1–2 years L&D experience.

Qualifications

• MN RN license required and active.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• NRP certification preferred or required.
• 1–2 years RN Labor & Delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan nursing care for obstetric patients.
• Coordinate with the care team for labor, delivery and postpartum.
• Develop individualized plans considering age, culture, and needs.
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Communicate with patients and families to support outcomes.
• Promote evidence-based practice to improve care quality.
