Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Irving, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate patient care using the nursing process, assess patients, identify diagnoses, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate outcomes in 24x7 inpatient and outpatient settings.

The RN will delegate tasks, participate in quality improvement, ensure safety, collaborate with the care team, and maintain documentation while upholding the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN License with no stipulations.
• Charge Nurse experience and/or preceptor experience preferred.
• 1+ years of RN experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Judgment: conduct accurate clinical assessments and develop plans of care.
• Develop, implement and evaluate the nursing plan of care to meet outcomes.
• Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel as appropriate.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure timely follow-up and safe patient flow.
• Maintain documentation and participate in quality/performance initiatives.
