Job summary

University Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Behavioral Health Clinical Nurse - RN Nights in Kansas City, MO. This full-time role supports 3 shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM at the NKCH Behavioral Health unit.

The RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while adhering to Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current Missouri license as a Registered Nurse
• Current BCLS

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Provide evidence-based nursing care based on patient needs
• Collaborate with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain professional nursing standards and clinical competency
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills specific to the assigned clinical area
• Promote quality improvement, patient and staff safety, and culturally responsive care
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered service
• Participate in education, committees, program evaluation, research, and student supervision as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, organizational policies, and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act

Education

BSN or equivalent in nursing
