Job summary

The Columbus Organization seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join an inpatient behavioral health team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This full-time, night-shift position focuses on direct nursing care, assessments, medication administration, and coordinated care with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program, Tennessee RN license or NLC privilege, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral health

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• If Tennessee RN license is active or eligible via NLC.
• Experience in inpatient behavioral health is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments and health history collection.
• Develop and adjust individualized plans of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Monitor responses and adverse effects to treatments.
• Provide direct patient care and respond to status changes.
• Participate in emergency/CPR as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
