Horizon Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Abbeville General Hospital’s 16-bed inpatient psychiatric unit in Abbeville, LA. The night shift runs 6PM–6AM, caring for adults 18+.

You will assess, monitor, document, and report patient conditions, administer meds, and support daily activities within a therapeutic milieu. You’ll collaborate with the treatment team to ensure the highest quality care, including 1:1 sessions, groups, and education, while maintaining patient dignity and

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
• Active and unrestricted RN license required.
• 1-3 years of nursing experience required.
• CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Crisis prevention experience.

Mansioni

• Complete initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission and reassess during stay.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Plan, implement and coordinate nursing care activities.
• Conduct therapies aligned with patient diagnosis and needs.
• Perform medication administration and treatment orders as prescribed.
• Medication reconciliation.
• Follow voluntary and involuntary procedures.
• Interpret needs to nonclinical staff and support patient dignity with compassionate care.
