Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the night shift to join our Staff/Floor Nursing team. You will provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions, under medical supervision and with a focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years of nursing experience preferred.
• Inpatient dual-diagnosis (SUD & MH) setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing standards for mental health and substance use.
• Familiarity with KIPU EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision of the medical provider.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and admission documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; provide education.
• Assess patient needs, determine urgency, and initiate interventions as required.
• Monitor psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety; report changes.
• Accurately transcribe and implement provider orders; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain documentation in EMR per standards; ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support medication management and controlled substance processes with nursing leadership.
• Participate in in-service education and staff meetings.
