Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks an RN II/Relief Staff Leader for night shifts. You will deliver individualized patient care and lead the department as needed, working at a 0.6 FTE with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The role requires an RN license (SC or compact state), at least 1 year of RN experience, and an BSN within four years if hired with an Associate/Diploma. A BSN is preferred and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Registration or Licensure: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Must work a minimum of 0.6FTE (average 24hours per week).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, the RN II/Relief Staff Leader provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients.
• Delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other health care team members to achieve outcomes.
• As assigned, provides department/shift leadership in the RSL role.
