Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W in St. Louis, Missouri.

This full-time position offers a 36-hour week with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, working in a bustling surgical unit that emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should have a nursing degree, current RN license (state or compact), BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and at least 2 years of patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
