Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital - Plaza Tower in Missouri is seeking a Clinical Nurse on the General Medicine Unit to provide direct patient care and ensure safety and quality. This RN role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care within nursing standards.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and document individual care plans, educate patients and families, and promote continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates patients and their families on illness management.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with goals in collaboration with interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs and supports patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care.
• Maintains safety-sensitive position and works with alertness and safety.
