Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina in Orangeburg is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the 4 West Unit, a 40-bed medical/surgical unit. This role involves caring for post-surgical and acutely ill adult patients and includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus for night shift RNs.

The nurse is responsible for patient assessments, care planning, and assisting with procedures. Candidates should hold an Associate's Degree and possess a South Carolina RN license. Full-time hours include 36 per week with day and night shifts available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current AHA BLS certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Documents initial nursing histories and develops individual care plans.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Monitors and records patients’ conditions and evaluates outcomes of patient care.
