Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift float coverage. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to manage patient flow, perform timely assessments, and coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and NIHSS certification, with EPIC charting as a preferred skill. Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and 1+ year of acute care experience is desired.

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida or eligible to practice
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
NIHSS certification required or must be obtained promptly after hire

Responsibilities

Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow and placement
Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes
Delivers nursing care with emphasis on safety, effectiveness, and cost efficiency
Collects comprehensive data for patient assessment and process improvement
Performs initial patient assessments and coordinates discharge planning
Ensures accurate handoffs and documentation with care teams
Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Communicates courteously with patients, families, and colleagues
