Job summary

AdventHealth Riverview in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. The role focuses on safe patient care, accurate handoffs, and collaborative teamwork to ensure efficient patient flow from admission to discharge.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, with 1+ year of recent nursing experience, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. EPIC charting experience is preferred, and a BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Nurse with current license.
Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
1+ year of recent nursing experience required.
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

Maintain safe practice with unit-specific clinical competency and regulatory standards.
Ensure safe handoff communications and documentation between caregivers.
Participate in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to manage patient flow and admissions/discharges.
Perform initial patient assessments and identify teaching and discharge planning needs.
