Job summary

MediLodge of Gaylord is seeking a Part-time/PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift to provide comprehensive nursing care to residents. The role emphasizes leadership, coordination with therapy services, and adherence to state regulations.

The RN will supervise LPNs/LVNs and CNAs, administer medications, and implement physician orders while ensuring high-quality resident care and safety. CPR certified, RN licensed in Michigan, and 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assesses and documents residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Assigns nursing care to team members based on needs and capabilities.
• Supervises, directs and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Administrates medications, starts IVs and performs treatments and documents accordingly.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assists physicians with tests and procedures within state Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensures supplies are used economically and that equipment is safe.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and resident reactions.
• Coordinates nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures.
• Interviews applicants and participates in hiring/counseling/disciplines as allowed by state act.
• Supervises nursing unit scheduling and directs staff as permitted.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
