Job summary

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse I for the Medical Short-Stay Unit. This part-time night shift role focuses on rapid throughput and coordinated patient care within a 38-bed medical-surgical environment.

The RN will assess, plan, and document patient care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain required certifications such as BLS and NYS RN license.

Qualifications

• AS: Nursing (Required)
• RN license in NYS
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient
• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team
• Utilizes all available resources to meet patient and family needs
• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services individualized for patient
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including safety, medication administration and documentation
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation
• Completes at least one CRU form for Nursing Research submission

Education
