Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, GA is seeking a registered nurse for the Admission Discharge Transition Unit. The role covers 7pm–7am shifts on a full-time basis, with a 36-hour work week and benefits eligibility.

The RN will apply the nursing process from admission to post-discharge, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Graduate of a nursing program with BLS certification is required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from admission to post-discharge.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with care team.
• Administers medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within service area.
