Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Registered Nurse with labor and delivery and postpartum experience to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care. The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Oregon or Washington licensure (compact preferred), and strong documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for RN licensure.
• Current RN license in Washington or Oregon/Compact licensure within 3 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Minimum years of labor and delivery, postpartum, and medical/surgical nursing experience as stated.
• Demonstrated knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin).
• Previous health care experience and computer keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Coordinate care activities with other health care disciplines and discharge planning.
• Develop and document individualized nursing plans of care and teaching plans.
• Delegate tasks based on patient condition and scope of practice.
• Establish priorities for patient care and implement measures per physician plan.
• Document care in the EMR and ensure accuracy of records.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities and evaluate patient response.
