Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation (UM Capital Region Health) in Largo, MD is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for full-time night shifts (7:30pm – 8:00am). This role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 and a pathway to advanced clinical responsibilities within a state-of-the-art regional medical center.

Responsibilities include providing independent care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to quality

Qualifications

• MD RN license required or eligible to practice per MD Board of Nursing.
• Diploma in nursing or Associate degree in nursing required.
• Current BLS certification required; unit-based licensure as defined.
• Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to unit-specific patient population; act as a clinical resource.
• Accountable for care processes and outcomes during a patient episode.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Serve as charge nurse or clinical resource as needed.
• Participate in Performance Improvement, NSQI, and evidence-based practice.
