Job summary

South Shore Health's Emergency Department in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Part-time RN for night shift to provide individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care. You will perform assessments, plan and document care, and coordinate with patients and families for safe hospitalization and transition.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with active RN license.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Administers, transcribes, and records medications per SSH policies.
• Develops and documents individualized plan of care for each patient.
• Initiates admission assessment within 8 hours and documents teaching needs.
• Maintains nursing documentation per policy and assesses pain.
• Communicates plan of day and facilitates discharge/transfer by 12:00 pm.
• Maintains safety standards and hand hygiene; uses PPE correctly.
• Pursues ongoing professional development (minimum 5 contact hours/year).
• Uses Lotus Notes and LMS; understands downtime procedures.
• Ensures privacy and security of patient information and complies with policies.
