Job summary
Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC Inc) is seeking an RN for full-time night shift in Hamilton County, TN. The RN will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the Site Administrator and Responsible Physician, following nursing standards and QCHC policies.
The job offers a $45/hr pay rate with a $3.00/hr shift differential, full-time benefits, and opportunities to participate in CQI activities and staff training. Prior correctional healthcare experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must have a current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in correctional healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Respond and intervene to all emergency situations.
- Conduct patient intake paperwork and assessments.
- Verify and obtain orders for patient medications.
- Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards.
- Document ordered treatments, assessments and labs.
- Assist the provider with Chronic Care Clinic.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate nursing documentation.
- Work with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
