MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking an RN for Complex Care to provide direct nursing care to patients and families per physician orders, in a complex care area. Licensed in Massachusetts and BLS-certified, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while adhering to policies and standards of practice.

The role emphasizes independent practice, professional contributions, and potential supervision of other staff.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure (required).
• Current BLS Certification (required).
• Department-specific certifications may be required for the unit.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience depending on level.
• BSN preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Integrates evidence-based practice into clinical care.
• Conducts accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans.
• Uses nursing judgment to tailor care to patient needs.
• Manages patient assignments and delegates as appropriate.
• Creates comprehensive discharge plans and utilizes community resources.
• Supports staff development and precepts new team members.
• Engages in departmental committees as needed.
