Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for full-time night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, create and adjust care plans, administer treatments, and educate families while ensuring safety and teamwork across the unit.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current license
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and revising as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure teamwork
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust for better outcomes
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide necessary interventions
