Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia seeks an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients during full-time night shifts (7pm–7am). The position offers potential sign-on bonuses of $7,000 for experienced RNs and $6,000 for new grads, with pay range $36.50–$50.23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license or compact state license upon hire
• Current CPR/BLS certification upon hire
• Weekend and irregular shifts required
• 2 years RN experience preferred for sign-on bonus eligibility

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs per standards of practice
• Develop, implement and evaluate care plans with patients and families
• Coordinate safe patient transitions to next level of care
• Demonstrate urgency to facilitate patient throughput and maintain quality outcomes
• Deliver individualized patient education and discharge planning to families/caregivers
• Accurately complete all required clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards
