Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA is seeking a Full Time RN for nights to provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and strong documentation and education for patients and families. Bonuses: Full Time NEW GRAD RN eligible for $6,000 and experienced RNs eligible for $7,000.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in VA or a compact state upon hire
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and apply standards of practice.
• Demonstrate unit-specific competencies and equipment training.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care with patient and family involvement.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families before discharge and ensure understanding of discharge instructions.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to support safe, ethical care and throughput.
• Document all clinical actions per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
