Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care on designated units including Adolescent and Adult Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorder units. You will coordinate assessments, administer medications, and support crisis response, working with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care
• The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift
• The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education
• The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans
• Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
