Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Lakeview Behavioral Health in Georgia seeks a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care on a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shift. Two 12-hour shifts weekly (24 hours) with a rotating Week 1/Week 2 schedule including weekends.

The RN will assess needs, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and follow policies while coordinating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/ restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required per state/facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families.
• Follow state Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Monitor patient status and document changes.
• Administer medications and count controlled substances.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
• Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport.
• Coordinate unit activities and communicate with staff.
