Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse 1 New to Practice Apprentice for the Night shift (7p–7a), 0.9 FTE, in Lancaster. The newly licensed RN or RN with <15 months of experience will provide direct patient care across the lifespan under supervision, progressing to Clinical Nurse 2 within 18 months. Expect collaboration with an interprofessional team and adherence to safety standards.

Qualified candidates must hold an RN license in Pennsylvania and a BSN or higher, with NCLEX completion within 60 days if applicable. Nurse Residency participation is required to develop professional practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by PA Board of Nursing.
• BSN or higher required.
• New hires who start with temporary practice permit must sit for NCLEX within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across the lifespan with safety and quality in mind.
