Job summary

Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department standards and nursing models. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to advocate for patients and families.

Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and during shifts, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families about conditions and treatments. Night shifts, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with an active license in Virginia.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred at least 1 year of medical/surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
