Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Riverview Behavioral Health Hospital in Texarkana seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Admissions team for the night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends. The RN will review referrals, coordinate admissions, verify benefits, and ensure smooth patient flow through pre-authorization and documentation.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, collaboration with medical and psychiatric staff, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of clinical or observational nursing experience.
• Active state nursing license and CPR certification required.
• De-escalation/restraint certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation for admissions and reconcile medications.
• Facilitate admissions, including assessment, consent, and inventory of patient belongings.
• Coordinate care for patients not admitted and arrange appropriate follow-up care and referrals.
• Perform pre-authorization processes and assist with insurance verification as needed.
