Qualifications

• Must have TWO current years of RN experience in a hospital / acute setting.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training can be obtained through various organizations and learning systems that offer courses from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
• Provides patient-centered care addressing physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and functional status.
• Documents accurately and ensures adequate supplies; maintains compliance with hospital standards.
• Performs ongoing and initial assessments to tailor the care plan and meet patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates clinical skills, teamwork, and professional communication with patients and families.
• Acts as an educator to peers, patients, and families and supports change and innovation within the unit.
