Job summary

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and is supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model.

The framework for practice is steered by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelors in Nursing preferred.
• RN licensure required; BLS/ACLS certifications per hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice to deliver individualized patient care.
• Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care considering age, gender, disease, and cultural diversity.
• Partners with patients and families, communicating goals and updating them on the plan of care.
• Practices according to current clinical standards and guidelines.
• Coordinates safe, high-quality care and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and documentation.
• Supports performance improvement initiatives and participates in shared governance across levels.
