Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide routine and complex care in a similar clinical setting. You will perform the nursing process, assess and document patient information, and delegate tasks to the care team to manage clinical situations.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, 1 year of related nursing experience, and current BLS; ACLS is required with credential grace periods. Orientation and preceptorship are provided for new hires.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of CHRISTUS competencies for self and others.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors outcomes.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families.
• Delegate to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
