Job summary

Unity Psychiatric Care in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse, Night Shift. The position includes a $5k sign-on bonus and a companion night differential. You will oversee clinical operations, administer medications, and provide patient care in a therapeutic psychiatric setting.

Applicants should have RN licensure and relevant experience in geriatrics or mental health. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, treatment planning, and family education, with emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• One (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferably in geriatrics and/or mental health
• Current State Registered Nursing License and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and venipuncture as authorized
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings
• Develop and update patient care plans and treatment goals
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff and assign patient care tasks
• Ensure accurate medical records and charting, including diagnoses and treatment notes
• Provide patient and family education on medications, procedures, and discharge planning
