Job summary

Advocate Health's High Point Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Observation Unit (12 beds) to provide and coordinate patient care. The role offers 3 12-hour shifts weekly, from 7pm to 7:30am, with weekend rotation, and exposure to cross-training into the Clinical Decision Unit after six months.

The unit handles acute patients with stays under 36 hours; an accredited nursing program, RN license in state, and BLS certification are required, with over one year of RN experience

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice and clinical decision making to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
