Job summary

Oak Plains Academy in Ashland City, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts in our psychiatric residential treatment program for children and adolescents. This RN role offers a sign-on bonus of $10k, six-week self scheduling, 3 night shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) and rotating weekends.

You will provide professional nursing care, assess patients, administer medications, and participate in individualized care plans while upholding patient safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited RN program and Tennessee RN license or eligibility.
Experience with children/adolescents preferred.
Experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.
Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver's license.
Must attend two-week orientation classes, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Renders professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs and documents data per policy.
Performs patient assessment, monitors symptoms and communicates data to care teams.
Administers medications and contributes to development and implementation of care plans.
Promotes safety and serves as a role model for staff and students.
