Job summary

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a dedicated Rigger for a night-shift position near Monroe, LA. You will set up, assemble, or disassemble rigging, select gear based on load, and coordinate with team to safely move equipment.

The role requires at least 2 years of machinery moving experience, a valid driver's license, and OSHA 10 certification. Physical work, outdoors, with a shift differential and potential for additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years machinery moving experience or comparable field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 for Construction.
• OSHA 30 preferred not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test rigging materials for safety.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery.
• Attach loads to rigging with cables, pulleys and gear.
• Communicate with workers using signals during hoisting and moving loads.
• Move heavy equipment using rigging lines, hoists and pulling gear.
• Operate forklifts or other mechanized equipment as needed.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
