Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate and care for respiratory patients and administer prescribed therapies. MO-licensed CRT or RRT is encouraged, with a sign-on bonus for eligible external applicants.

This full-time night role features three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays, and shift differentials for nights and weekends. It emphasizes patient assessment, equipment management, and family education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience.
• Current BLS HCP certification; NBRC-credentialed RRT; Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner license.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Provide respiratory care services in accordance with physician orders, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Implement and monitor care plans and equipment; monitor and communicate patient condition; perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Educate patient and family about health condition and community resources.
• Assist with care, calibration and maintenance of equipment; manage inventory and sterilization procedures.
• Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses.
