Job summary

The Health Care Authority for Baptist Health, An Affiliate of UAB Health System is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for the Enterprise Float Pool. The RT will participate in treatment, evaluation, and care of patients with pulmonary needs, collaborating with physicians and the respiratory team to adjust care plans.

Responsibilities include performing pulmonary procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with BLS and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• RRT must be obtained within 12 months of position start.
• Active professional credentials required: ASBRT LRT and NBRC CRT, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care for pulmonary patients.
• Communicate progress and care plan with physicians and the respiratory team.
• Adhere to department policies and complete duties within scope of the role.
