Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift. The role includes operating advanced procedures such as IABP and inhaled medications, and supporting staff training within a teaching hospital environment.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality care per AARC guidelines, participate in rounds, and ensure equipment safety while collaborating with physicians and leadership to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Maintain current RRT credential.
• Maintain valid State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care
• BLS from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe respiratory therapy practices; alerts leadership of safety issues.
• Performs duties of Respiratory Therapist per AARC guidelines and competency.
• Participates in patient rounds and collaborates with medical staff.
• Ensures treatments follow physician orders and approved protocols.
• Verifies equipment safety and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Proposes therapy changes based on clinical assessment to improve patient care.
