Job summary

Regency Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a per diem/PRN night schedule in East Chicago, IN. The role offers $46.00 per hour plus competitive night and weekend shift differentials.

You will provide specialized respiratory care to chronically ill post-ICU patients and support our mission of world-class inpatient care. The RT will evaluate patients, perform endotracheal tube procedures, and contribute to quality improvement, patient education, and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent required.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire for agency RT.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma preferred or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
