Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the night shift. This 525-bed academic medical center offers advanced ventilator management, RT-driven protocols and a supportive residency program for new hires.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree required; non-degreed applicants with RRT credentials considered.
• Certification/Licensure: State Respiratory license; NBRC RRT; BLS required at time of hire; NBRC RRT within 6 months for new grads.
• Experience: None required; 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and others using RT-driven protocols to provide exceptional care.
• Utilize advanced ventilator strategies and monitoring to reduce VILI and improve patient outcomes.
• Support residency program and training to help new hires succeed.
