Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the Nursing Float Pool in Charlotte, NC. This 0.9 FTE, full-time role offers three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with self-scheduling and varying weekend/call requirements.

You will support multiple facilities within the Atrium Health system and provide high‑quality respiratory care across patient populations. Candidates must have a AMA-approved program graduate, RRT credential, and at least 2 years in acute

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• RRT or RRT Equivalent required.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and licensed where applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administers and evaluates respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Manages mechanical and non-invasive ventilation for patients.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and ensures patient safety.
• Maintains regulatory and safety standards and ER/ICU readiness.
