Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Columbia County Acute Care unit. The Night FT role involves administration of respiratory care per physician orders, leading care coordination, and staying current with AARC guidelines and certifications.

The candidate will educate patients and families, participate in rounds, and maintain high-quality documentation while ensuring safety and infection control throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy-Preferred.
• Current Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license required upon hire.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications or instructor variants as applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage respiratory care per physician orders and standards.
• Lead and coordinate care within the unit; participate in rounds and care planning.
• Educate patients and families; ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Maintain equipment, protocols, and compliance with infection control.
