Job summary

Viper Staffing Services L.L.C. is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shift, onsite in Rutherfordton, NC. The role involves comprehensive respiratory care across hospital, ICU, NICU and PICU settings with ventilator management and critical care support.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, therapy administration, equipment operation, emergencies response, and accurate EHR documentation. BLS required; ACLS/NRP preferred; license or certification must be valid.

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification recognized by relevant regulatory bodies.
• Experience in hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine or critical care environments.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP preferred.
• Ability to perform patient assessments across diverse populations (pediatrics/geriatrics).
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status via vital signs and oxygen saturation.
• Administer therapies including oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory devices.
• Manage ventilator settings and provide critical care support.
• Respond to cardiac arrest emergencies per protocols.
• Collaborate with ICU, PICU, NICU and trauma teams.
• Document care activities in EHR/EMR with accuracy.
• Support neonatal resuscitation procedures and protocols.
• Monitor vitals continuously to ensure safety of therapies.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and device use.
