Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – Capitol Hill in Washington, DC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 13-week contract with night shifts (7pm–7:30am). The role offers an hourly rate of $59–$60 with daily pay access and a focus on medically complex care.

Requirements include AMA-approved respiratory care education, NBRC credentials, state licensure, BLS & ACLS, and at least 1 year of experience. Weekend work is required; compensation varies by qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist per NBRC with active state licensure.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.
• Weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Administer safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by a physician.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation, administer medications, and complete patient assessments.
• Understand hemodynamic monitoring implications, review blood work, monitor patient status, and participate in teaching and training.
