Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Clifton Springs Nursing Home at 1 Coulter Rd, Clifton Springs, NY 14432. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week, with night 12-hour shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and weekend rotation every other or every third weekend.

You will implement care plans, evaluate cardiopulmonary status, administer therapies, and educate patients, families, and staff while collaborating with the care team in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate.
• New York State Respiratory Therapist (RT) license with current registration, including credentials received prior to 9/1993 OR New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) license AND NBRC active credentials as a CRT.
• ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates existing data in the patient record, including history, physical exam, vital signs, and orders.
• Advises providers on appropriate respiratory care procedures and techniques.
• Selects, assembles, and checks respiratory care equipment for proper function and cleanliness.
• Recommends and documents prescribed respiratory procedures including medications, airway care, oxygen, ventilation, and monitoring.
