ProMedica Defiance Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist for night shifts in the Respiratory Care department in Defiance, Ohio. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates who commit to the role.

The specialist will perform therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures, manage ventilation and monitoring, and contribute to patient education and care planning. Ohio/Michigan licensure is required and BLS is mandatory.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC.
• Licensed to render respiratory care by the state(s) of practice – Ohio and/or Michigan.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification are recommended and may be required in some units.

Responsabilidades

• Perform prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures per departmental standards.
• Safely assemble, operate and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
• Provide education to patients on disease processes and home care.
• Assist with clinical instruction and participate in staff orientation.
• Complete accurate patient documentation and billing per policy.

Educación

Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC

Licensed to render respiratory care by state - Ohio and/or Michigan

BLS certification

ACLS/NRP/PALS recommended
