Job summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) RN role at Tenet Healthcare's Harper University/Hutzel Women’s Hospital in Detroit is a full-time night-shift position. The RN provides patient care, coordinates with the care team, and supports discharge planning for a group of patients within a high-acuity hospital setting.

Qualifications include graduation from a nursing program and Michigan RN licensure; BLS is required, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved nursing program.
• RN license Michigan required.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians and health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares discharge for patients.
• Coordinates care with the nursing team and ancillary staff.
• Reports to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making.
